This past Saturday, we headed down into Ohio country...
...stopping first at Smucker's in Orrville...
...where jelly jars glowed...
...various curds were available for sampling...
...and the Pillsbury Dough Boy was the perfect photo-op.
I mean really - look at that!
Next, we headed deep into Amish country...
...where Lehman's seemed an obvious choice...
...with its large selections of stoves...
...pickled eggs...
...novelty beverages...
...and cooked meats in a can.
Since Lehman's provides non-electrical goods...
...it was cool to see gas refrigerator alternatives...
...to help make Amish life a bit easier.
After a few trips to the salad bar...
...and lunch bar at Mrs. Yoder's Kitchen in Mt. Hope...
...we ended our afternoon at Hershberger's Farm and Bakery...
...where you could come for a bit of farm-life shopping...
...or head straight to the animals...
...where they waited (im)patiently...
...to be fed...
...petted...
...or ridden.
After a bunch of Purrell, we finished our visit with some kettle corn...
...and some delicious baked goods.
