Italy 2014 - Part 6 - Burano

After meeting friends' parents in Venice for lunch...

...I headed to a bar on the island of Murano to meet an American friend who was taking part in a European competition.

I accompanied them via water taxi...

...to the island of Burano...

...where a Scavenger Hunt had them searching for something on the side of a building that was in the form of the island's local cookie (Essi).

We walked around Burano...

 ...admiring the colorful homes...

 ...(particularly this house)...

 ...and search high and low...

...as our collective eye for detail noticed some rather strange things along the way.

Eventually, thanks to a resident, we did find something S-shaped on the side of a home that they used in the competition.  It wasn't correct, but that was okay (they won first place in the end).

We called it quits after they made this video about the cookie (yours truly is behind the IPhone)...

...and, just before some ice cream, we took advantage of the colorful houses...

...with some photo ops.

Needless to say...

...these are some of my favorite photos of the trip.

Thanks, Laura!
